The OSSPEED R2106 is a new factory-tuned engine model developed for 1/8-scale on-road racing. The new 9-port cylinder with redesigned ports delivers increased power. For better power delivery in the lower rev range, the crankshaft was adopted from the R21 Euro II, as was the proven ceramic ball bearing from the off-road engines. The redesigned reinforced connecting rod is now more robust and better able to withstand the demanding on-road racing conditions.

The 9-port cylinder features redesigned ports with improved flow for more torque, as well as a new piston with 3 oil grooves.

The redesigned reinforced connecting rod is now stronger to withstand the rigors of on-road racing. *The letter "R" is engraved on the connecting rod for identification.

The cooling head is black anodized and features the laser-engraved OSSPEED and R2106 logos.

The rear bearing is a ceramic ball bearing, which provides a better feel at lower speeds.

The crankshaft comes from the R21 Euro II engine, which provides more power and better mid-range speed characteristics.

Based on the R2105 carburetor, the R2106's 21M carburetor was fitted with a revised needle, slide valve and jet needle to facilitate adjustment and improve low to mid-range power delivery.
