Product Description

The Tamiya Dark Impact is a true classic among 1/10 scale off-road buggies – developed directly on the racetrack and built for maximum performance. Even as a prototype, it was tested in competitions to guarantee a precisely balanced chassis, robust construction, and optimal handling characteristics. The result is a modern, efficient 4WD buggy with an aggressive racing look and impressive handling on any surface.

The aerodynamic, slim body and the large rear wing provide high downforce, while the high-density spike tires K on all four wheels offer excellent grip off-road.

DF-03 Chassis – High-performance 4WD concept

The DF-03 chassis combines Tamiya's proven cardan drive technology with an extremely efficient layout:

  • Monocoque tub chassis with low-positioned battery and electronics for optimal balance
  • Front and rear ball differentials for even power distribution
  • Direct-drive front bevel gears to reduce power loss
  • CVA oil dampers within the wheelbase for improved stability
  • Double wishbone suspension all around with long wishbones for excellent shock absorption.
  • Multiple mounting points for fine-tuning the chassis

The result is a precise, controlled driving experience – for both ambitious amateur drivers and those interested in competition.
