Introducing a brand new 2 belt driven 4WD chassis in the TA series!

It has been five years since the last time a new number was added to the TA chassis range.

The sleek TA08 PRO Chassis Kit eliminates the need for an upper deck, keeping weight and rigidity in balance. Its layout features the engine in a nearly identical position to the TRF420, with the spur gear box in front of the engine. Redesigned upper and lower arms make effective use of tire grip and feature dropped SSBB (Super Short Big Bore) dampers. This kit draws on Tamiya's extensive know-how built up through our traditional chassis series and racing data, and offers plenty of potential for tuning.

The most important highlights at a glance

The angled arrangement of the battery and R/C equipment means a higher center of gravity and a compact, lightweight chassis with optimal pitch and roll flex. The optimal weight distribution creates a compact, grippy chassis, even on surfaces with little grip.

Stepped-V chassis made of carbon fiber reinforced resin allows rigidity even without an upper deck. The front end of the rear suspension shafts is mounted directly on the chassis.

The slim chassis reduces surface contact and the holed urethane bumpers allow air to escape, which benefits stability.

With the spur gear in front of the engine, the chassis provides a stable drive and the belts are shorter to allow for minimal drive losses.

As the suspension compresses in corners, the toe-in area changes, providing more traction. The control arms are identical front and rear, creating a higher potential tire load for good grip even on slippery surfaces.

The chassis is equipped with a compact cable bag to keep the cables safe and protected.

The body mounts can be rotated by 180ø, allowing the body to be moved forwards by 2mm.
